After umming and ahhing about whether to move again (it would have been our 7th in 25 years, lowering the average of once every 5 years!) we decided to make the most of the planning permission we’d obtained to extend our chalet bungalow to provide an additional bedroom and a sun-room.
Work was due to commence on 27 June, but the builders turned up on 23 June with a mini digger and a dumper truck to commence the footings. By the time I got back from work that evening, I couldn’t believe my eyes – piles of soil on the drive, and footings of at least 4 feet deep! By the end of Friday, the footings were complete and filled with cement. Our new sun room is taking shape!
