Chancel Repair Liability – Caveat Emptor

Callaways Estate & Lettings Agency is currently instructed to sell a leasehold flat in Hove.  During the preliminary searches, the prospective purchaser was made aware that the property is located within the historical boundary of a parish which continues to have a potential chancel repair liability.  So what could this mean?
